Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) campaigns for a sustainable future for the English countryside, a vital but undervalued environmental, economic and social asset to the nation. They highlight threats and promote positive solutions.
Cheltenham Borough Council Local Plan is an extensive web site covering all aspects of local plans. The most important part of the Local Development Framework is the Core Strategy. It identifies the key, strategic issues of most importance to the local area and translates these into a strategy for tackling them. Examples include how to provide more affordable housing, reduce traffic congestion and tackle climate change.
Cheltenham Connect is a local community initiative that was set up in June 2009 to strengthen and empower the residential and trading community of South Cheltenham. It has four lively action groups: Buy Local, Go Green, Skillspace and Community and is the recipient of a Cheltenham Borough Council Community Pride grant.

Save the Countryside (STC) aims to oppose the plans to build 5000 new homes as part of an urban extension to the North-West of Cheltenham on the Greenbelt. This urban extension adjoins Swindon Village, consisting of only 1000 houses.
Save our Green Spaces (SOGS) is an alliance of local campaigns and organisations, as well as national ones, who have come together to make the most effective use of resources across the South West to fight the RSS and inappropriate building on green spaces. Severn & Avon Valley Combined Flood Group intends to become a focal point to which the all the resident groups, that join the Severn & Avon Valley Combined Flood Group, can apply the maximum pressure on Local Authorities and Central Government concerning flooding and related issues.
St Philip and St James Residents' Association was founded in February 2005 to promote the well-being and protect the amenities of the residents of the streets immediately surrounding St Philip and St James Church, Leckhampton. They have over 150 members and actively encourage all residents to be involved in the preservation and ongoing improvement of local facilities.
Tewkesbury Borough Council Local Plan sets out both the Borough Council's planning policies for development control across the Borough, and also allocates specific sites for new development.
