2010

26th September

LEGLAG is planning a walk across all the Leckhampton and Shurdington fields that are under threat from development. Shurdington Parishoners have been asked to join us. Everyone who is interested in the fields and footpaths is welcome too. Members and friends of LEGLAG will be invited to see the 'White Land' for themselves. Come and join in. Contact Vivienne Matthews 239122 for details.

September and October

LEGLAG will develop plans for the Country Park.

We shall seek a meeting with Greg Clarke (Minister for localism) to lobby for a reduction or amelioration of the “5-year Land Bank” requirement.

We shall discuss the Leckhampton Country Park campaign with relevant Parish Councils (Leckhampton and Shurdington), hoping they will join in our campaign.

We shall seek additional support by a street by street recruitment and petitioning campaign.

We shall continue lobbying of JCS, and responding to Consultation.

We shall invite all local politicians and some planners to a Public Meeting to support the Campaign.
